I have a mirror just like this one. I've had it for about 20 years. I've never purchased another type because I didn't like them. I've looked in the stores for this one and could never find it. I was so happy when I saw it here on Amazon. Thank you I'm happy again.

This mirror is compact and easy to use. My daughters brought it with them on a recent trip which they took to Italy because it is easy to pack and is fairly light-weight. The brightness of the bulbs is very good for pulling whiskers (unfortunately, they take after me in the whisker category). The only drawback I find with this item is that it is not easy to find replacement bulbs; I had to order them directly from the manufacturer. Other than that and the fact the bulbs can get a little hot are the only complaints my daughters and I have.

What ever happened to the wonderful vanity mirrors that were so easy to find when I was growing up? They were nice and bright, to the point of being horrifying when you see your face in all that light. I started out with a Revlon one from the store, I couldn't even tell if it was off or on the lighting was so poor so I got this one instead. The lighting is very yellow, which I was somewhat disappointed in. While it is a little brighter than the Revlon one, it still isn't what I'd hoped for. I've however invested all I care to in the venture so I'll stick with it, it's livable.

The mirror is very bright and you can see your brows very well to pluck them.Great for applying makeup and doing your hair.A reproduction of the 60's vintage "mirror go lightly".A must have!!
