I listed this item on my Christmas list with the intention of setting it on my vanity for hands-free use in applying makeup. It cannot be used in this manner. It must be hand-held. The mirror size is not listed on the Amazon site. In the photo, it appears deceptively larger than 8"x5", and for the price, it was reasonable to assume it was much larger. In fact, it is nothing more than a hand-held magnifying mirror. The mirror itself must be held at an exact angle to get a clear image. The mirror is not lighted, which I understood beforehand. I frankly cannot imagine how the seller can justify the retail price of $170. I am returning it.
